The mission of the Montana Lottery is to maximize the transfer of its net revenue to the state's General Fund and to the Montana STEM Scholarship program by providing products that meet the expectations of consumers and the State of Montana while adhering to the highest standards of security and integrity, which is critical to maintaining public confidence in the agency and its products.

The Montana Lottery IT division supports the Montana Lottery agency and staff with the tools and knowledge needed to perform their duties and responsibilities efficiently, utilizing all resources and assets available through the SITSD department.

Estimated Cost 0 Comment The cost is part of the competitive bidding process. The contractor is paid a percentage of sales during the life of the contract for all services. The current contract percentage is approximately 8% of each sales dollar for lotto products and 40% of GGR for sports betting products.

Status of the project as of March 31, even numbered years. Indicate % completed and status of funds expended. The present contract expires on March 30, 2026, with all three - one (1) year contracts extensions exercised by the Montana Lottery. This ongoing contract is 60% complete as of March 31, 2022. This contract has been approved by the State CIO but is not considered an EPP action because no funds are requested from the Legislature.
